If I could give more than five stars, I would! I throughly enjoyed my Tuesday getting lunch from here. My order was the fried chimichanga. I really loved the beef and how it tasted marvelous with the cheese sauce, guacamole, and bean paste. The diced tomato was fresh!

My family has been going to El Rey in Waxhaw for over a year now and it's one of our favorite restaurants. This place is special. The people working there are spectacular and the food is really good for a decent price. We have had many waiters and waitresses here and they are all consistently awesome! Always smiles and "my pleasures" from the host/hostess and wait staff...

Hacienda El Rey is the best Mexican restaurant in Waxhaw, by far. We have been going for years, and I can honestly say that we have always had a great experience. Get the shrimp Diablo if you like spicy food. Tacos are great also...

We absolutely love this place! Awesome food and great atmosphere. The manager is beyond accommodating and my toddler fell in love with her. You are treated like family in this establishment! The homemade pineapple margarita is amazing! Best Mexican food in Union County, hands down.
